Trauma & PTSD
Trauma doesn’t always look the way people expect. You don’t need to have been through something dramatic for it to have left a mark. If past experiences are still affecting the way you feel, think, or relate to others, therapy can help you make sense of it, gently and at your own pace.

How trauma can affect you
Trauma can show up in many ways. Flashbacks, nightmares, feeling constantly on edge, or a sense of emotional numbness. You might find yourself avoiding certain places, people, or situations. Or you might not connect your current struggles with what happened in the past at all.
Some people carry trauma for years without fully recognising it. It might surface as anxiety, difficulty trusting others, anger, or a feeling of being disconnected from yourself or the world around you.
How therapy can help
Working through trauma takes courage, and it needs to happen at a pace that feels safe for you. I will never push you to talk about anything you’re not ready for. Your boundaries matter, and you’re always in control of what we explore.
Person-centred therapy offers a space where you can begin to process what happened, in your own way, in your own time. Being truly heard by someone who won’t judge you can be the first step towards healing.
