Depression & Low Mood
When you’re living with depression, even the smallest things can feel like a huge effort. Getting out of bed, replying to a message, getting through the day. It can all feel like wading through treacle. If that sounds familiar, please know that you’re not lazy or broken. You’re struggling, and that’s okay.

What depression can feel like
Depression isn’t always what people expect. It’s not always crying or staying in bed. Sometimes it’s feeling numb, disconnected, or just flat. You might go through the motions of your day without really being present. Things that used to bring you joy might feel meaningless.
You might find yourself withdrawing from the people around you, feeling irritable, or struggling to concentrate. Some people describe it as feeling like there’s a fog between them and the rest of the world.
How therapy can help
Therapy gives you a space to talk about what’s really going on, without having to worry about being a burden or bringing anyone else down. You can say the things you’ve been keeping inside, and I’ll be there to listen.
We won’t rush. There’s no agenda and no expectation that you should be feeling better by a certain point. Sometimes just having someone witness what you’re going through, without trying to fix it, can make a real difference.
